am i benevolent? i am
nothing if not benevolent.
i say tell me, you say
worship.
it took five hundred years
to build the ulm minster.
la sagrada familia will be complete
in twenty twenty-six.
they say great things take time.
every sigh drawn from my lips
is laid across this altar,
every moan and fervent plea
burnt up on my skin like incense.
these things take time,
so we take it slow.
your lips, sacramental wine
my spine a bowed cathedral arch
cheeks redder than stroganov church
i say tell me, you say
my name.
like a consecration you whisper
oh, god. please.
i have heard your pleas and
slip my hand between your thighs,
an answered prayer.
young gods are often reckless:
i am nothing if not benevolent
