Hi! My name is B. N. Wattenbarger, and I'm a queer author and poet living in the American South. I've been writing poetry since I was four years old, when I wrote a poem that featured the iconic lines "sometimes i feel naked/ sometimes i feel pink."
I wrote consistently through high school, and won several writing contests as well as publishing a monthly newspaper column for the local library. After high school, I wrote a blog for several years before taking time off to focus on my growing family. In 2018, I was lucky enough to co-author a cookbook with my mother, and that sparked my love of writing, which had lay dormant for several years. In 2019, I began writing in earnest, and my poetry has now been featured on Nightingale & Sparrow, Laurels & Bells, and Ayaskala.
When I'm not writing, you can probably find me nursing a cup of coffee. I also enjoy cooking, spending time with my family, and chill evenings with friends. I am equally in love with sparkling water and sparkling wine.
This blog will feature exclusive poetry and prose, writing tips and things I wish I knew when I started submitting, writing playlists, and occasional glimpses into my other interests.
