saturn's rings pulse into the universe, a heartbeat in the empty spaces. this is living— it happens in the in-between. a pulse is still a pulse when no one has their head pressed to your chest.
listen: saturn has eighty two moons, twenty new ones found last week. everything is pulled into its gravity. some things draw you in and never let go. i hope to be one of them.
binary stars don't orbit each other. they rotate around a fixed point, an astrological dance. i learned to tango but you learned to waltz— we are bouncing like minor planets in the asteroid belt.
binary system J0806 is composed of two dwarf stars, caught in an orbit. scientists say these stars will eventually collide. when the stars merge, we will have been gone from this planet so long we will have once again become lost atoms.
some nights i am a black hole. no light escapes; tonight we cross the event horizon of my mind. the law of the universe is
entropy.
