waking up with you: a champagne morning. your lips, like wine blur the sharp edges and i am heady with the feel of your skin on my skin. light filters through the curtains, an encroaching dawn greets us in slats across your skin. too soon, we will slip into routine a kiss on the nose, a hushed goodbye as i turn deeper into the blankets, replace your thigh between mine with your stolen pillow. these moments, common make up our lives between the dom perignon mornings
